''In celebration of The Queen of British Fashion & in conjunction with London Fashion week 2016, this is my homage to an extraordinary woman, Dame Vivienne Westwood DBE RDI '' - Michelle Deyna - Hayward

''I have named my portrait "Rebel with a cause" because I am fascinated by the juxtaposition between the young, caring, sensitive, yet stoic Vivienne from Tintwistle, Cheshire & the rebellious anti establishment designer she became. Her designs shaped the 1970's UK Punk scene & from 1 shop in the Kings Rd, Chelsea, to 4 in London, she expanded worldwide & is an instantly recognisable icon for our times.
An international businesswoman & diplomat, not only for British Fashion but an avid activist for many political causes.CND, Climate Change, Fracking, Civil Rights, Factory Farming & a basic good moral code in life, all have the support of Vivienne Westwood.

Portrait Artist Michelle Deyna- Hayward At Cafe Royal London For Presentation Of Her Art

''I am honoured to have painted a portrait of the legendary Steve Strange, front-man of the iconic 80's group Visage'' - Michelle Deyna-Hayward

The original painting was presented by Stephen Jones to Gillian Harrington, Steve Strange's Mother, with Michelle present, at the VIP, invitation only event, celebrating Steve's life on Sat 26th Sept, at The Club, the private members only club, at The Cafe Royal Hotel, Regent Street, London.

Steve is remembered fondly and missed terribly by family, friends and his many fans who know him as a visionary and vital member of the group of young creatives, who, bored with the whole punk scene in 1978, came together in Billy's nightclub. After popular Roxy Music and David Bowie club nights, Steve and his friends moved venue to the rather more elitist Blitz wine bar and the term "Blitz kids" was born.

The Blitz club was a hedonistic delight full of creatives and movers and shakers from the world of fashion and music....

Retrospective At The Angles

Cambridgeshire - From 1st September until 8th September, The Angles Theatre and Arts Centre will again play host to a retrospective of work in the Gallery and Bar by established Artist, Michelle Deyna-Hayward.

This will encompass mixed media work, including graphite, pastels, water colour, Acrylics and Oils and taking in her extensive travels across 37 countries and 49 American States.

Work to be included in this retrospective of Michelle's work are figurative works previously exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London and her entry for the BP Portrait Award 2014, held annually at the National Portrait Gallery, London.

Original work and prints will be for sale and commissions taken.

Michelle looks forward to this opportunity to promote and support The Angles Theatre and Arts Centre and highlight the Arts in general in Wisbech and surrounding villages.

This will encompass mixed media work, including graphite, pastels, water colour, Acrylics and Oils and taking in her extensive travels across 37 countries and 49 American States.

Following a Private View (by invitation only) Michelle will be on hand to discuss her influences, teaching and work at various times. Original work and prints will be for sale and commissions taken.

Talking Papers With Michelle Deyna-Hayward

Trevor purchased this watercolour by Michelle Deyna-Hayward, with proceeds going to 'Talking Papers', which is a free service providing weekly news, for individuals who have reading difficulties or who are sight impaired.
Michelle is an active member of volunteers who record the news for the service.
